The Hoodia Gordonii is a plant that belongs to the variety of cactus and that grows mainly in the semi-desert of South Africa, Botswana, Namibia and Angola.
In recent years, the Hoodia has been much marketed to the weight loss and has become immensely popular, although there has always been a demand for diet pills and various natural sources.
Much of the popularity of Hoodia comes from eating the same on the part of the people bosquimano Kalahari Desert, hunters natural, that they consume so that they remove the hunger during the long periods of hunting in the desert, something that carried out from thousands of years ago.
The Hoodia gordonii grows in clusters of stems raised greens, although it is often called cactus, since that resembles one, the Hoodia is actually a succulent plant.
